Rusthall Supply & Fit or Fit-Only Carpet Services
Get a premium finish on your new carpet in Rusthall. We offer a dedicated fitting-only service for customer-supplied carpets, using mechanical power stretchers to ensure a perfectly taut installation over Victorian floorboards or modern concrete slabs.
We supply trade-standard underlays alongside heavy-duty gripper rods and door transition strips, and if you're also having LVT fitted in an adjoining room, we make sure the threshold between carpet and vinyl tile sits flush and correct.
Fitting Carpet in Rusthall's Victorian Villas & Character Cottages
Rusthall is dominated by Victorian and Edwardian terraces, semis and characterful detached homes around the Common — often with high ceilings, original skirting, sash windows and suspended timber floors. I secure and prep those floors before laying and power-stretch the carpet so it stays taut over the long runs these period rooms create, and where a villa has been converted into flats I use acoustic underlay so floor noise stays within the lease.
Stair Runners in Rusthall
Rusthall's Victorian and Edwardian terraces, semis and cottages around the Common often have steep, narrow staircases where a stair runner looks right and keeps the original treads on show. A runner is a narrower strip of carpet down the centre of the stairs, leaving a border of the original treads visible, instead of full stair carpet covering each step edge to edge. Runners need accurate measuring and a firm underlay, and on winder or curved stairs each step has to be templated individually.
Stair rods are decorative only: it is the gripper rods underneath that hold the carpet in place. Where a villa has been converted into flats, we can use acoustic underlay on the stairs too. For costs, options and winder steps, see our carpet stairs and landing guide, or stair runners in Tunbridge Wells nearby.
