Expert Sheet Vinyl Fitting, Zero Retail Markup
Cushioned sheet vinyl remains one of the most practical, hygienic, and cost-effective flooring choices for wet areas in Kenley homes. Whether you have purchased a roll from a high street retailer like Tapi or Carpetright, ordered online, or requested supply from our sample ranges, finding an experienced, independent vinyl fitter ensures your floor is installed without bubbling or uneven edges across the streets around Kenley Aerodrome and Kenley Common.
We do not mark up retail roll prices. Instead, we focus on technical fitting craft. From single bathroom sheets to wide kitchen diner rolls, we deliver tight scribing around architraves and sanitaryware, invisible cold-welded roll seams, and waterproof edge sealing for a floor that stays pristine for years.
Subfloor Preparation: Kenley Property Characteristics
Because sheet vinyl is flexible, it conforms closely to whatever surface lies underneath. Bumps, board gaps, or proud screw heads will 'telegraph' through the vinyl face over time, causing unsightly ridges and accelerated wear points. Kenley sits in the CR8 postcode with much of its housing dating from the interwar expansion, so proper subfloor preparation is essential and tailored to this age of property.
In Kenley's 1930s semi-detached and terraced homes, ground floors are often suspended timber rather than solid concrete. We check the subfloor construction on every job before securing loose boards and overlaying with 6mm flooring-grade plywood (BS 8203:2017 Annex A compliant).
Where a property has been extended or a ground floor rebuilt in concrete, we test moisture levels with a digital hygrometer and apply latex levelling screed before fitting.
Choosing the Right Sheet Vinyl for Your Kenley Home
Cushioned, R10 slip-resistant, felt-backed and heavy-duty sheet vinyl all suit different rooms, and how well they last depends on scribing, cold-welded seams and a flat subfloor. Our sheet vinyl types and brands guide and how we fit it cover the options before you book your Kenley survey.
