From Uplift to Flawless Finish
Sequenced carefully across six rooms plus multiple staircase flights to ensure minimal household disruption.
Flattened Pile, Dead Underlay & High-Traffic Staircases
The existing carpet and foam underlay throughout the property had reached the absolute end of their usable life. High-traffic paths on the landing, stair treads, and bedroom thresholds had flattened completely, and the legacy underlay had lost its acoustic and thermal resilience.
With four bedrooms, two active lounges, and two flights of stairs to tackle, the project demanded rigorous phased sequencing so freshly fitted rooms were not walked over while uplift and subfloor prep continued elsewhere in the home.
Gripper Replacement, Cloud 9 Underlay & Power Stretching
The worn carpet and fatigued underlay were cleared room by room down to bare boards. Defective perimeter gripper rods were stripped and replaced with heavy-duty dual-pin rods to ensure maximum bite.
We laid high-density Cloud 9 Cumulus 11mm underlay with seam-taped joins for superior thermal insulation and impact sound reduction. Then, Abingdon Stainfree Captivation twist carpet was mechanically power-stretched into place across each room, staircase, and landing to British Standard BS 5325.
Seamless Whole-Home Comfort with 10-Year Stainfree Protection
The property now has a unified, cohesive aesthetic running from the ground floor lounges through both stair flights to every top-floor bedroom. The 10th gauge twist pile feels sumptuous underfoot and absorbs ambient noise dramatically.
Backed by Abingdon's Aqua Pro-Tec stain protection and a 10-Year Wear Guarantee, this bleach-cleanable twist carpet is built for busy residential living without fear of accidental spills or crushing.

"Just had the whole house done in Bromley by Paul. 3 bedrooms plus everything else using that Cloud 9 underlay, and honestly I'm buzzing with how it turned out. The fitting is spot on, and walking on it feels proper plush and warm now (plus it cuts down the noise heaps). Super smooth process from start to finish. Massive thumbs up, would defo recommend!"
